What is the data policy for products accessible through WEkEO?

We propose here some formulations to cite data and information accessed through WEkEO.

Context


The WEkEO Catalogue provides access to more than 400 Earth observation products, all easily accessible from the Expert Data Viewer and the dedicated download services.

While Copernicus data and information are made available on a full, free and open basis, attribution/citation is required.

Please consult and familiarize yourself with the Legal Notice on the use of Copernicus Sentinel Data and Service Information, ensuring that you have understood how and for what purposes Sentinel Data and Service Information may be used and taking note of the European Union's limited liability.

Citation of products accessible through WEkEO


If you plan to redistribute a product accessed through WEkEO, have developed a product or service based on that data, or are preparing a publication (scientific, commercial, etc.), you must refer to the product's license.

To find the license:

  1. Locate the product you are using in the Expert Data Viewer.

  2. Add the dataset to the map.

  3. Click on the Subset and download button.

  4. At the bottom, you will find a link to the product's license or data policy.
